I am hosting a standard king of the hill game, squad style
so king of the hill, for you who do not know, is self explanatory.
there is an area on the field that you must dominate and hold for a certain time limit, and the game cannot end until a squad has completely fulfilled that time limit. all squads can engage eachother however they please, but know the objective is the same for all squads and anyone of them can take the objective at anytime.
SQUADS- the number of people that show up will determine how many squads there will be, in this game there will be 5 people maximum in a squad.
RESPAWNS- you must equally spread out from the objective and opposing squads for your main respawn. there will be 1 medic per squad, every squad member can be healed once(exept medic) and after that if they are killed they must go back to the main respawn and wait for their squad.(why it requires whole squad to either die or go back for dead teammates, is to avoid breaking up of squads, and people wandering hopelessly alone)when a player dies your squad may abandon the objective to go rally up with dead teammates and then go back to pursue the objective. or you can wait till they all die and respawn when the last player gets to spawn.
INGAME RULES- there will be absolutely no truces or teaming up with opposing squads(adam) , with that said it should be complete chaos trying to take the objective, since the objective will be a small well fortified area, any grenades that are thrown into the objective will only have a 5 foot radius, anywhere else on the field it will be the same 15 foot rule. wile holding the objective a minumum requirement for being able to keep the objective will be a single player. once all players leave the objective their time will automatically be restarted when and if they return to the objective, another words if you leave the objective under the required time limit it doesnt count at all and you must re start the time once you re-enter the area. there will be a timer in the objective area and any team to enter it must re-start the current time and then start the timer for their own time. all squads can engage eachother upon sight no matter where on the field. do not spawn camp other squads. if the game outlasts 3 hours a whistle will blow and there will be no more re-spawns. also wile a squad is holding the objective if another player from an opposing squad enters the objective area, their current time will be re-started, on behalf of that being nearly impossible but still a chance
ENGAGEMENT RULES- in the objective area there is no engagement rule, but semi only, anywhere else on the field it will be the normal 20 feet.
the objective area again is going to be not very big, but i will be bringing lots of plywood and framing it to help fortify and make it possible to hold.
TIME LIMIT- the time limit on holding the "hill" will be 20 minutes. im not sure if its possible, if we need to adjust we will
This is a first for this game type so it woulnt be perfect but i think its simple enough.
1. get a squad
2. find a re spawn away from squads and "hill"
3. game starts
4. squads rush for objective or strategize to eliminate other squads first (bb kills gooses squad single handedly)
5. squad enters objected area and starts timer, and procedes to hold until 20 minutes is up.
6. squad is killed new squad enters area and re starts there time back to 0 and tries to hold again for 20 min.
.....repeat until a squad is capable of holding for 20 min straight
simple enough guys? give me feedback, we still have plenty of time for changes
