The following is from two posts made on the MAG forum. We need to be very careful when we go out to our fields guys and be on the lookout for these criminals.
Hey, guys.
My name is Garrett. I am a part of FSA airsoft... AKA, "The Sunday guys".
The reason I'm on today is that I may have come across the dudes that stole your guns today at Midland.
Today we held a skirmish on that field at around noon. When we showed up, there were some hunters there that were just setting out to shoot birds. Shortly after we started playing, a red ford festiva with red wheels drove up. We were in the woods playing at the time.
One of our guys headed to the cars to get some stuff, and I guess three kids got out of the car (ages maybe 17-20) and were acting all kinds of sketchy (looking around, shooting a BB gun, generally acting suspicious). Our guy then came back to get someone, and when they got back to the car, the kids had gone into the forest on the east side of the lot.
Shortly after that, the hunters came back. They looked in their truck, and told our guys that $20 and a large case full of ammo had been stolen from inside their truck. Our guys told them about the kids, but the hunters were just like "well, if it was them, it'll come around".
The hunters left, then the kids came back from the forest. When asked about stealing ****, they denied it, and challenged us to look in their car. By this time, word was out and a bunch of our guys had come out, myself included. It was super awkward. Despite being totally caught, the kids stayed there as if they were waiting for something. When we did not leave the parking lot for some time, they finally left (maybe 45 minutes of awkward waiting and kind staring at each other).
We realized after that that they had more than likely stowed the stolen goods in the woods and were waiting for us to leave so they could go get them now that the hunters were gone. We went into the woods o look for the ammo box, but did not find it.
When asked if they went to midland field a lot, the kids said, "you could say that".
I don't have it with me now, but one of our guys got a picture of their car and license plate that i can post if you guys want.
Although we run in separate groups, stuff like this affects the airsoft community as a whole, and we want to help you guys find these d-bags.
So i got an IM from Bojo asking for the picture, and I texted my buddy who told me he took it yesterday. It turns out his always-reliable iphone didn't take the picture.
Sorry, guys.
What i can say is this:
The car was an early nineties Ford Festiva hatchback. It was bright red, and had color-matching red wheels with a chrome or brushed lip.
The license plate was 2T.
I asked a bunch of the guys if they remember anything else about the plate, and that's the only thing that stuck out to them. I think 2T is twin falls, but I'm not sure. I'm sorry that the picture didn't turn out. The dude who said he took it blamed it on his fat fingers.
I hope any of this helps.
